LGBT+ History Month Exhibition at Resource for London

LGBT+ History Month Exhibition at Resource for London

We are honoured to host the exhibition designed by Nikki Nathan and Taranjit Chana from Galop UK  in celebration of LGBT+ History Month 2020

Make your way up to Resource for London on 356 Holloway Road to see this great display celebrating role models for their contributions to LGBT+ History

LGBT History Month is a month-long observance of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender plus history. It celebrates role models and the contribution of the LGBT + community and allies. In the UK, it is every February marking the 2003 abolition of Section 28. This was enacted in 1988 and stated that local authorities “shall not promote the teaching in any maintained school of the acceptability of homosexuality as a pretended family relationship”. This year carries special significance for our history, as it sees the 50th anniversary of the founding of the London Gay Liberation Front (GLF).

Free admission - Resource for London is opened Monday to Friday (09:00-17:00)
